Launch Plan
for freelancers, solo Business Owners & service providers
The Website Workback Schedule is as a reverse-engineered roadmap that helps you structure your website launch plan in a way that works for YOU.
Wait a minute, J.
What’s a workback schedule?
↓
It’s your new favorite way to stay on track while DIYing your website!
A workback schedule is my signature process, inspired from my days in corporate event management.
It’s a detailed, task-oriented plan where you start with your project's final deadline — and then plan all the tasks backward from there to make sure everything gets done on time.
WHY PLAN BACKWARD?
I know, it’s kind of weird 😆 But here’s what I’ve discovered:
Planning from the deadline backward helps you manage your time, prioritize tasks, use resources (both time and money) effectively, prepare for surprises and set clear goals, making it ideal for complex or overwhelming projects like a new website.
STAY ON TRACK, STAY SANE
But this workback schedule doesn’t just include the outline of a plan where you still need to figure what to do —
— It lets you stay on track, staying sane, working clean, and prioritizing tasks like the Marie Kondo of website building 🧼✍️
WOULDN’T IT BE NICE TO HAVE A DONE-FOR-YOU WEBSITE SCHEDULE TO KEEP YOU FOCUSED AND ON TRACK?
great news:
you can!
Think of the template like your personal assistant. Designed for new solopreneurs, freelancers, creative professionals and online business owners, if you’re feeling overwhelmed by building your new website — this will help.
Just plug in in your dates and your tasks - or use the included pre-filled tasks - and start tracking your website launch tasks.
Listen. There's no shortage of great resources with lists of tasks to check off.
But here's the catch – organizing these tasks in an order that makes sense for you?
That’s a whole other ballgame.
That's where my Website Workback framework comes in.
It's not just any planner; it’s a reverse-engineered schedule that helps you structure your website plan in a way that works for you.
🎁 Plus, it comes with bonus pre-loaded tasks to get you started if you need a jumping off point!

A workback schedule is basically a project plan or roadmap but it works backward. It begins at your preferred website launch date and works backward, detailing the tasks required at each stage – from brand identity and visual design to content creation, website building, and post-launch strategies.
-
First of all, use whatever makes sense to YOU. We all have different learning and doing styles, and if this specific schedule doesn’t make sense to your brain, no worries!
Back in my previous life as a corporate events manager, I frequently used workback schedules for my tech event clients. Companies like Microsoft, SmartSheet, PayScale and Legility LOVED the clear, easy-to-stay-on-track tasks, and reverse planning structure. With the workback schedule, they always knew exactly what to work on, and what was coming next in order to reach Go Live day.
One day recently I realized, I’ve never seen a workback schedule for websites! And that’s something I would have found SUPREMELY helpful when I was just getting started. So I created a workback schedule specifically to help fellow solopreneurs and service providers out.
